Right As Rain

****Update 6/4/09**** I went back and added more shading and muscle definition to her right arm...Raina does have a fair amount of muscle, and I didn't really capture that at first!

Here's the colored version of my second entry for my very own Female OC Sexy Summertime Swimsuit Bikini Jammy Jam [link] with the title that's been inspired by British Pop Singer Adele's song "Right As Rain" [link]

To those of you that aren't familiar with my OC's, this lovely brawny raven haired gal here is one of my longstanding characters and one of my personal favorites Raina Hunter aka "The Bonecrusher"! She's a world class champion fighter in my fictional Triple F (Female Fighting Federation) in which she's held almost every title that there is to win numerous times. Although it may not look like it, Raina is actually an extremely powerful cyborg with about 75% of her body being mechanical (look at her eyes)...however, her cybernetics are quite advanced and have been made to look like a normal organics, not to mention that her mechanical parts are waterproof! And with that in mind...she's still able to hit the beach in a sexy little two piece bikini and take a dip in the ocean! It looks like she's been taking lessons from Angie on how to be sexy...I'd say that Raina's a fast learner!

I must say, automatically this is one of my favorite pieces of art that I've ever created! I loved how the original lines came out, and the colors make it look even better! As for the Orange w/Yellow trim bikini, we can thank for giving me the idea to try those colors and I think they look great...she and I were talking to one another as I colored Raina here. Pardon me as I toot my own horn for a little bit...TOOT TOOT!!! The only thing that I'm not too keen on is how the water came out...perhaps I should look up some tutorials on how to properly and effectively draw/color water.

It seems as if Raina has developed quite a cult following here amongst my gals...sure I know that plenty of my watchers love Simone, Angie, Sapphira, Nicole, Deuce, and several other of my gals...but statistically-wise (pageviews per deviation, faves, and such) Raina is probably my most popular character along with Sapphira. She's a really cool character...definitely one of my favorites! I hope that y'all like this pic of her as much as I do!
