Carolina Nocturne

UPDATE 9/8/09 I went and took out the white scribble behind the crescent and the palmetto tree and I added highlights to the pier in the background.

Here's my last entry to my own very first (And VERY successful! ) "Female OC Sexy Summertime Swimsuit Bikini Jammy Jam"...I had said that this was my "Piece De Resistance" of the jam...if that was the "Piece De Resistance", then this is my "Magnum Opus" of the jam....perhaps the "Magnum Opus" of all of the art that I've EVER created!!! This puppy took me the better part of 14 HOURS to ink/color...that's not including the line work!

Those of you familiar with my characters will recognize this gorgeous choco-caramel cyborg babe as my main character, Nicole (Nikki) Vetter aka "Diamond". Just because she's a cyborg doesn't mean that she can't join in on the summertime fun! Being that she is a cyborg, however, and her body is normally covered by her cyber-symbiote, she has a hard time going to the beach like everyone else without people staring at her...not to mention she's a famous fighter and athlete, so people would be all in her face asking for autographs, pictures, and such while she's trying to relax.

Being that she was born and spent part of her childhood on the beaches of Montego Bay, Jamaica, she naturally loves the beach and makes it a point to get to the beach as much as her busy agenda allows. Nikki chooses to get her time at the beach in the middle of the night at her favorite little private beach on the coast of South Carolina, as not to be disturbed by other beach goers. Plus, since there's no one else around, she doesn't really have to worry about having to have a bikini or anything...so she makes her symbiote cover only her "naughty bits" and proceeds to go swimming! Here she is, coming up out of the water soaking wet and sexy as ALL get out!!! Usually, Nikki's body is all shiny for a different reason, as her body from the neck down is normally covered with her symbiote. But tonight, the water on her firm, yet curvacious half-mechanical body glistening in the moonlight is the cause of her sexy shimmer!!!!

The title of this piece has been on my mind for quite some time...there's a song called "Hollywood Nocturne" by The Brian Setzer Orchestra that plays on the music system at my job, and I happen to really like that song. Being from South Carolina...I've played around with the lyrics of the song and switched "Carolina" with "Hollywood". I decided that I would do a bikini pic with the name, but I was gonna originally gonna feature my gal Nina Storm instead of Nikki. However, I wanted to end the jam with a pic of Nikki and I decided to throw Nina into the group pic above.

To really drive the Carolina aspect home, the Crescent Moon and Palmetto Tree (No, it's NOT a Palm Tree!) with the Navy Blue backdrop is actually the image that appears on the SC State Flag (for those of you that don't know)...the coolest looking of all of the state flags!!! As for everything else...the water was a bit of a bitch, but IMO Nikki looks the best that she's ever looked! Not just b/c she's pretty much naked, but her proportions are perfect...just the right amount of muscle and still plenty of curves. Plus, she's always sexy to me, but this is the first time that I've purposely drawn her in a seductive manner...daddy likes! I hope you do as well! This is automatically my personal favorite piece of ALL of my own artwork!
